Award-winning central London Music & Sound studio The Futz Butler is looking for a charismatic and innovative Head of Partnerships to join our growing team in 2024

The Opportunity

You’ll be joining a company where success is measured not just by the bottom line but by the happiness and growth of our people.

A culture where what’s personally meaningful to you is folded directly into your professional targets, giving what you do a real purpose.

We’re a company that treats people as people not resources, with well-being and understanding around flexible working, family commitments and life outside the hustle at the heart of everything we do.

Beyond inspiring people, brilliant service, facilities and a s**t-hot reel, you’ll have a genuinely unique sales story to tell in a market full of me-too clones.

Our revolutionary approach to briefing music and sound coupled with a clear brand identity, USPs and positioning mean you’ll be joining a company with its house in order. We know who we are, where we want to go and who we want to work with along the way – making the job of delivering the message so much more straightforward.

This role offers you the autonomy to shape how that message is shared to clients, infused with the full support of a dedicated and passionate team.

You’ll hold the reins to design and execute your bespoke business development strategies, with unorthodox ‘anti-obvious’ approaches to problem-solving actively encouraged.

Your time will be spent building genuine relationships with the most forward-thinking clients and collaborators, focusing less on lead generation and more on creating lasting partnerships and producing unignorable work.

This is a place where you’ll find genuine purpose, a unique and compelling product to offer and the chance to build true value creating something to match your ambition.

The Role

In this central role you’ll become the outward face of The Futz Butler targeting leading figures in the fields of Advertising, Film & TV, Audio Branding, direct-to-brand and experiential. You’ll have ownership of the entire business development process – from prospecting and relationship building to closing deals and nurturing client relationships.

Collaborating closely with our passionate team of audio creatives, marketers and support staff, you’ll leverage our distinct service offerings – bespoke music composition, audio branding, sound design and audio post – to captivate and convert clients.

Whether through meetings, pitches and presentations, digital outreach or industry events – you’ll be empowered to freely own the sales strategy using your unique skills and preferred ways of working to deliver on strategic objectives. In addition, you’ll engage in setting these OKRs ongoing, facilitating both individual and collective achievements in line with our long-term vision.

You’ll have the flexibility to work remotely alongside immersing yourself in the heart of our studio complex, surrounded by a team raised on good manners, bold thinking and putting in the graft. With access to first-class systems and software already in place to maximise effectiveness and promote productivity, you’ll have the tools needed to succeed with less fuss.

From strategizing with the marketing team, collaborating with composers and sound designers to presenting our award-winning reel and process to an industry of creative thinkers – each day, project and client will be truly dynamic and varied.

About Us

We’re professional noisemakers.

We collaborate with restless filmmakers and brands to imagine the unimagined through sound and music.

With four recording studios in the heart of Holborn and a roster of over 50 composers and producers worldwide, we specialise in delivering unforgettable bespoke music, audio branding and audio-post production to our diverse portfolio of clients across Advertising, Film, TV and experiential.

Using our revolutionary approach to briefing, we uncover the most unignorable way to tell our clients’ stories with audio – in less time, for less reddies and without the palaver. From three-note audio branding to feature film score (and everything in between), our anti-obvious approach to creativity has attracted global clients as diverse as Nike, BMW, Sir Paul McCartney, SKY, Dior, Somerset House and FIFA.

We look out for each other to ensure the company we build together delivers personally meaningful success for every single member of our team. We love what we do and every day is different.

We craft our work from the ground up. We build our own instruments. We take risks. Our approach rejects complacent defaultism and sees everything as a possibility. It leaves nothing untried.

Because there or thereabouts…is nowhere near.
